Unexpected Incidents happened multiple times with Daily Star!

On Tuesday (February 6) morning, the caretaker of the house rescued Preeti Udan from the ground floor garage of the house on Shajahan Road in Mohammadpur and took her to Suhrawardy Hospital in a bloody state. The doctor on duty said that he died before being taken to the hospital. Syed Ashfaqul Haque’s house is in a flat on the eighth floor of that building.

Lukesh Oran, the father of Preeti Oran, who was killed in this incident, has filed a case (No. 37) at Mohammadpur Police Station as the plaintiff. Syed Ashfaqul Haque and his wife Tanya Khandkar have been made accused in the case. They were handed over to the court on Wednesday (February 7) afternoon and a five-day remand application was made. After the hearing, the court allowed Ashfaqul Haque and Tanya to be interrogated at the jail gate.

The Daily Star said in a statement, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of a teenage domestic help at the residence of our senior colleague and executive editor Syed Ashfaqul Haque. We are deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident and offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. We are waiting to know what was found in the investigation.
